Cultural Festivals – Japan Block Fair and Indian Parade in NYC

Once of the reasons I like to live in NYC is how much embrace multiculturalism.  Today, On two blocks, there was the Japan Block Fair and a few blocks down was the Indian Parade, with  colorful floats travelling down Madison Avenue and observers snapping photos and enjoying the festive moments.  At the end of the road were vendors that sell savory Indian snacks and light meal and a stage setup for afternoon musical performances.

From one end, you could be eating your Japanese noodles and ending your culinary palate with an Indian kulfi ice pop.  I am proud to be part of our tolerance and openness to different cultures.
